For most small and mid-sized discrete manufacturers, yes. Business Central covers the full functional footprint — accounting, production, planning, purchasing, quality, warehousing, logistics and maintenance through extensions — on a cloud platform most manufacturers already own alongside Microsoft 365 and Power BI. This page is about the platform choice and the implementation, not the individual modules.
Business Central updates twice a year. Anything built as a modification to base code becomes a liability at the next wave. We build with extensions and configuration so the system stays current, and we test each wave in a sandbox against your real processes before it reaches production.
Phasing by function keeps production running: finance and purchasing first, then inventory and warehousing, then production and planning, then quality and reporting. Each phase gets data migration, cutover rehearsal, training for the people who actually touch it and a fallback plan for the week after go-live.
Data discipline decides whether it works. If receiving is posted late, units of measure are inconsistent, or scrap is never recorded, the ERP will faithfully report a fiction — so we work the transaction discipline alongside the configuration.
